Masala Chops

Ingredients
•
Double chops (large chops meant for frying)
- 8
•
Lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons
•
Papaya paste (raw)
- 4 tablespoons
•
Ginger paste
- 3 tablespoons
•
Garlic paste
- 2 tablespoons
•
White pepper powder
- 1 teaspoon
•
Cream
- 5 tablespoons
•
Salt
- as required
•
Cumin powder/Jeera
- 1 tablespoon
•
Garam masala
- 1 tablespoon
•
Butter/Oil (for basting)
- as required
•
Amchurs/Mango powder
- a little
•
Chat masala (for sprinkling)
- a little
Method
1. Rub
lemon juice
over the
chops
and leave aside for 1 hour.
2. In a bowl,
mix
the raw
papaya paste
,
ginger paste
,
garlic paste
,
white pepper powder
,
salt
,
cream
,
jeera powder
and
garam masala
.
3. Rub the
mixture
well into the
chops
and leave to
marinate
for4-5 hours.
4.
Cook
the
chops
over a charcoal
grill
or on a wire rack under a
grill
with a pan underneath for the drippings. Baste frequently with
butter
or
oil
and
cook
until tender & browned.
5. Sprinkle
amchur
and
chat masala
&
serve
with mint chutney.
