Masala Cheese Puris

Ingredients

Wheat flour
- ¾ cup
•
Maida
- ¾ cup
•
Potatoes
- 2
•
Onions
- 2
•
Green chillies
- 2
•
Lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon
•
Red chilly powder
- ¼ teaspoon
•
Salt
- ½ teaspoon
•
Cheese (grated)
- ¼ cup
•
Garam masala powder
- a pinch
•
Ginger
- ¼ inch piece
•
Ghee/Vanaspathi
- 1 tablespoon
•
Oil (for deep frying)
- as required
Method
1. Pressure
cook
potatoes
.
2.
Peel
and
mash
it to smooth
paste
.
3.
Grate
onions
, mince
chillies
and
ginger
together.
4.
Grate
cheese
using fine
cheese
grater.
5.
Heat
ghee
and
fry
grated
onion
with minced
chillies
and
ginger
till golden brown.
6.
Mix
all the dry
ingredients
in
mixing
bowl.
7.
Add
mashed
potatoes
, grated
cheese
, fried
onion
and
mix
well.
8. Sprinkle little
water
and knead to smooth dough.
9.
Roll
out into puris and deep
fry
in hot fat.
