Ingredients

Red gram dal
- 1 cup
•
Rice (raw)
- 1 cup
•
Cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon
•
Red chillies
- 6
•
Coconut
- ½
•
Asafoetidas
- a pinch
•
Salt
- ¼ teaspoon
•
Tamarind
- small lime size
•
Curry leaves
- few
•
Oil (for frying)
- as required
•
Drumstick leaves
- a few
(optional)
•
Onions (cut)
- 1 tablespoon
(optional)
Method
1.
Soak
rice
and
dal
together for 2 hours.
2.
Add
other
ingredients
and
grind
to fine rawa consistency.
3.
Heat
a tawa and
pour
adai as mentioned previously.
4. To the left over dough, next day finely
cut
onions
and
drumstick leaves
can be added to
make
adai.
