Malai Mutton Chops

Ingredients
•
Double mutton chops
- 8
•
Ginger paste
- 2 tablespoons
•
Garlic paste
- 2 tablespoons
•
Papaya paste (raw)
- 2 tablespoons
•
Dahi/Curd
- ½ cup
•
Cashew nuts (prepare: ground to a powder)
- ½ cup
•
Malai/Cream
- ½ cup
•
Mace powder/Javitris
- ¼ teaspoon
•
White pepper powder
- ½ teaspoon
•
Salt
- as required
•
Oil (for basting)
- as required
Method
1. Rub the raw
papaya paste
on the
chops
and leave aside for 1 hour.
2.
Mix
all the other
ingredients
except
oil
and rub well into the
chops
.
3. Leave to
marinate
overnight in the refrigerator.
4.
Cook
over a charcoal
grill
or on a wire rack under a
grill
basting
frequently with
oil
.
5.
Cook
until browned and tender &
serve
hot with mint chutney.
