Malai Machchi Tikka

Ingredients

• • Singhara fish (fresh water fish, tikka pieces) - 500 grams
• • Vinegar/Lemon juice - ¼ cup
• • Salt - ½ teaspoon

Ingredients For The Marination

• • Dahi/Yogurt - ½ cup
• • Cream - ½ cup
• • Ginger paste - 2 teaspoons
• • Garlic paste - 2 teaspoons
• • Jeera/Cumin seeds (roasted and ground) - 1 teaspoon
• • Methi danas/Fenugreek seeds (roasted and ground) - 2 teaspoons
• • Amchurs/Raw mango powder - 2 teaspoons
• • Besan/Gram flour (roasted) - 1 tablespoon
• • Eggs (yolks only) - 2
• • Chilly powder - 1 teaspoon
• • Oil (for basting) - as required

Method

• 1. Wash and pat dry fish tikka pieces.
• 2. Mix with vinegar or lemon juice, salt, haldi and put aside for ½ hour.
• 3. Mix with rest of marinade.
• 4. Skewer the tikkas and cook over hot charcoal for 7-8 minutes, basting with oil just once.
• 5. Garnish with chaat masala and onion rings.
• 6. Serve with Green chutney.
