Lemon Rasam

Ingredients

Thuar dal
- ¼ cup
•
Green chillies
- 4
•
Coriander leaves (chopped)
- 1 tablespoon
•
Cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon
•
Lemons
- 2
•
Coarsely crushed pepper
- ¼ teaspoon
•
Salt
- as required
•
Turmeric powder
- ¼ teaspoon
Method
1. Pressure
cook
dal
in enough
water
, with
turmeric powder
.
2. Allow to cool,
mash
well and dilute with 2 to 3 cups of
water
.
3.
Add
green chillies
,
cumin seeds
and
boil
for 1 or 2 minutes.
4.
Add
salt
,
pepper
,
coriander leaves
and
remove
from fire.
5. Squeeze
lemon
juice and
mix
well.
Serve
hot or cold.
