Ingredients
•
Curry leaves (fresh, tender)
- 1 cup
•
Garlic (peeled)
- 6 flakes
•
Ginger
- 1 inch piece
•
Tamarind
- marble size
•
Poppy seeds
- 1 tablespoon
•
Red chillies
- 5
•
Green chillies
- 2
•
Coconut (grated, fresh)
- 2 tablespoons
•
Onions (small, peeled)
- ½ cup
•
Salt
- as required
Ingredients For Seasoning
•
Mustard seeds
- ¼ teaspoon
•
Urad dal
- ½ teaspoon
Method
1.
Fry
red chillies
,
green chillies
,
garlic
,
ginger
and
curry leaves
in little
oil
for few minutes.
2. Dry
roast
poppy seeds
separately.
3.
Grind
everything together along with soaked
tamarind
,
coconut
and
salt
.
4.
Slice
onions
finely.
5.
Heat
little
oil
,
fry
the
seasonings
,
onion
till it turns golden.
6.
Add
ground paste
and
fry
for few minutes till good smell comes.
7.
Add
just enough
water
and
boil
for few minutes.
8.
Serve
with idli or cooked rice.
