- 1 teaspoon

Mustard seeds
- ½ teaspoon

Bengal gram dal
- 1 teaspoon
Ingredients For Grinding Together
•
Coconut (grated, fresh)
- ¼ cup
•
Poppy seeds
- 2 teaspoons
Method
1.
Peel
garlic
,
onion
and
slice
them lengthwise.
2.
Chop
tomatoes
finely and
brinjal
lengthwise.
3.
Heat
oil
,
add
seasonings
,
garlic
,
green chillies
and then
onion
.
4. When it turns golden
add
brinjal
and
stir
for 2 minutes.
5.
Mix
finely chopped
tomatoes
and
fry
for another one or two minutes.
6. Sprinkle
Sambar powder
,
salt
,
mix
well and then
pour
tamarind
extract.
7.
Cook
till
vegetable
becomes soft.
Add
ground paste
and
cook
for 2 minutes.
8.
Remove
from fire and garnish with curry
leaves
.
