Ingredients

Rice (raw)
- ½ cup
•
Par boiled rice
- ½ cup
•
Green gram dal
- ½ cup
•
Black grams (dehusked)
- ½ cup
•
Red gram dal
- ½ cup
•
Bengal gram dal
- ½ cup
•
Red chillies
- 12
•
Asafoetidas
- a pinch
•
Salt
- 3 teaspoons
•
Coconut (grated, fresh)
- ½ cup
•
Curry leaves
- 2 sprigs
•
Oil (for frying)
- as required
Method
1.
Soak
rice
and dals together for 2 hours.
2.
Grind
with
chillies
,
salt
, and
asafoetida
till rawa consistency.
3.
Mix
grated
coconut
and
curry leaves
.
4.
Spread
adai on hot tawa with few holes in the center.
5.
Pour
oil
in and around the adai and
fry
till crisp on both sides.
