Instant Lemon Pickle

Ingredients

Lemons
- 10
•
Salt
- 1 tablespoon
•
Chilly powder
- 2 tablespoons
•
Oil
- 1 tablespoon
•
Turmeric powder
- ½ teaspoon
•
Mustard seeds
- ½ teaspoon
Method
1.
Heat
water
in a big vessel.
2. When it becomes very hot (do not
boil
) switch off the stove.
3.
Add
lemon
(whole) in that and
keep
closed for 10 minutes.
4.
Strain
water
completely and
chop
lemon
into small pieces.
5.
Add
1 cup
water
and
cook
for few minutes.
Add
salt
and
turmeric powder
.
6.
Remove
from fire and allow to cool.
7.
Heat
oil
separately,
add
mustard seeds
.
8. When it splutters
remove
from fire.
9.
Add
to the
lemon
and
mix
chilly powder
also.
10. This can be served immediately.
11. This stays good for 2 to 3 weeks only.
