How to make Tamarind-Date Sauce

Ingredients
•
Tamarind paste
- 1 teaspoon
•
Jaggery/Brown sugar (crumbled)
- ΒΌ cup
•
Dates (coarsely chopped)
- 10
Method
1. Take a small saucepan and
pour
1 1/2 cups of
water
into it, and
add
the
tamarind
.
Mix
it well and
add
the
jaggery
and
dates
and bring to a
boil
over medium
heat
.
Stir
occasionally while
boiling
until the liquid is evaporated by almost half.
Remove
the pan from the
heat
and allow it to cool.
2. Transfer the sauce to a blender jar and
blend
it well until it turns into a thick smooth
paste
.
3.
Store
the
paste
in a tightly sealed container in the refrigerator for upto 5 days or in the freezer for up to 1 month.
