How to make Fried Onion Paste (Pyaaz ka Lep)

Ingredients
•
Cooking oil
- ΒΌ cup
•
Red onion (cut and thinly sliced)
- 1 kg
Method
1. Preheat a large deep
frying
pan over medium
heat
.
Pour
the
oil
and
add
the sliced
onions
once the
oil
get
hot and shimmer.
2.
Cook
them by
stirring
often for 15 to 20 minutes until they turn golden brown (slow
cooking
will give better results). Transfer the cooked
onion
to a separate plate to cool.
3.
Add
the golden brown
onions
to a blender jar and
pour
1 cup of
water
.
Blend
it until it forms a smooth
paste
.
4.
Store
the
paste
in a tightly sealed container in the refrigerator for upto 1 week or in the freezer for up to 1 month.
