How to make Fresh Coconut Powder

Ingredients
•
Coconut (grated, fresh)
- ½ cup
•
Red chillies
- 15
•
Black gram dal
- ½ cup
•
Bengal gram dal
- ½ cup
•
Tamarind
- lemon size
•
Garlic (with skin)
- 7 flakes
•
Onion (big)
- 1
•
Salt
- as required
Method
1. Dry
roast
both the dals separately till brown.
2.
Fry
red chillies
in little
oil
.
3.
Heat
little ghee and
fry
grated
coconut
till light brown in colour.
4. Pound everything together.
5.
Add
garlic
,
salt
and
tamarind
at the end and pound again.
6.
Mix
gently with diced fried
onion
and
store
. (This
powder
can be kept for 10 days).
