How to make Dal Powder

Ingredients
•
Puffed bengal grams/Chutney dal
- 1 cup
•
Red chillies
- 12
•
Rock salt
- 1 teaspoon
•
Garlic
- 8 flakes
•
Coconut (grated, dry)
- 1 tablespoon
•
Ghee
- 1 ½ teaspoons
Method
1.
Heat
ghee
in a deep pan and
fry
red chillies
,
chutney
gram
for 1 or 2 minutes.
2. Allow to cool,
powder
it, in mixie along with
salt
.
3. Pass through a sieve and put the coarse
powder
in mixie again.
4.
Powder
it well. Then
add
garlic
, dry
coconut
. Run the mixie in low speed till it blends.
5.
Remove
from mixie and then
add
it to the sieved
powder
.
6.
Blend
well using hands and
preserve
in dry, air tight bottles.
7. Normally this
powder
is mixed with plain white rice along with melted
ghee
.
