Ground Nut Sundal

Ingredients

• • Ground nuts (dehusked) - 1 ½ cups
• • Oil (for frying) - as required
• • Mustard seeds - ¼ teaspoon
• • Curry leaves - few
• • Lemon juice - as required
• • Asafoetidas - a pinch

Ingredients For Grinding Coarsely

• • Coconut (grated, fresh) - 1 ½ tablespoons
• • Green chillies - 3
• • Salt - as required

Method

• 1. Pressure cook peeled nuts till soft to touch.
• 2. Heat oil in a kadai, add mustard, a pinch of asafoetida, curry leaves and then nuts.
• 3. Fry quickly for few minutes.
• 4. Add pound ingredients, mix well and remove from fire.
• 5. Squeeze little lemon juice and mix gently.
