Grilled Chops

Ingredients
•
Double lamb chops
- 8
•
Ginger paste
- 1 ½ teaspoons
•
Garlic paste
- 1 ½ teaspoons
•
Lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon
•
Black pepper (coarsely powdered)
- 1 teaspoon
•
Salt
- as required
•
Worcestershire sauce
- 1 ½ teaspoons
•
Soya sauce
- 1 teaspoon
•
Tomato ketchup
- 2 tablespoons
•
Tomatoes (medium, cut into thick slices)
- 3
•
Onions (cut into rings)
- 3
•
Oil
- 3 tablespoons
Method
1.
Mix
the
lemon juice
,
ginger paste
,
garlic paste
,
salt
&
pepper
.
2. Rub the
paste
all over the
lamb
chops
& leave aside for 2 hours.
3. Pressure
cook
the
chops
with 1 cup
water
until just tender.
4.
Cook
over high
heat
to evaporate any excess liquid.
5.
Heat
oil
in a large
frying
pan &
fry
the
onions
rings until golden brown.
6.
Drain
&
keep
aside.
7. In the same
oil
,
fry
the thick
tomato
slices for a minute on each side &
keep
aside.
8.
Add
the cooked
chops
to the
frying
pan &
fry
until golden brown on both sides.
9.
Add
the
tomato ketchup
,
worcestershire sauce
,
soya sauce
& a
pinch
of
salt
.
10.
Add
the fried
tomato
slices, carefully
heat
through &
remove
on to a
serving
plate.
11. Garnish with the fried
onion
rings &
serve
hot with mashed potatoes.
