Gooseberry Pachadi

Ingredients

• • Gooseberries (fresh, big) - 2
• • Coconut (fresh, grated) - 2 tablespoons
• • Green chillies - 2
• • Salt - as required
• • Curd (fresh, thick) - ¾ cup

Ingredients For Seasoning

• • Oil - 1 ½ teaspoons
• • Mustard seeds - a little

Method

• 1. Cut goose berries and remove seeds.
• 2. Fry green chillies in oil in reduced flame. (Take care not to over fry as it may splutter)
• 3. Grind chillies, gooseberries, salt, coconut to smooth paste with minimum quantity of water.
• 4. Season with mustard seeds.
• 5. Just before serving mix with fresh thick curds.

Note

• • If dried gooseberries are used, fry it in oil along with chillies till it puffs up, and then grind the other ingredients.
