Fatless Mutton Masala Chop

Ingredients

Mutton chop
- 1 kg
•
Onions (large, roughly chopped)
- 4
•
Tomatoes (large, roughly chopped)
- 4
•
Ginger paste
- 2 tablespoons
•
Garlic paste
- 2 tablespoons
•
Dahi/Curd
- 1 ½ cups
•
Green chillies (finely chopped)
- 3
•
Chilly powder
- 1 teaspoon
•
Jeera powder/Cumin seeds powder
- 1 ½ teaspoons
•
Garam masala
- 1 ½ teaspoons
•
Ginger (cut into fine matchsticks)
- 3 inch pieces
•
Lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon
•
Salt
- as required
Method
1. Put
mutton chops
,
dahi
,
onions
,
tomatoes
,
ginger paste
,
garlic paste
,
salt
and
green chillies
into a kadhai or a flat bottomed pan.
2. Bring to a
boil
over high
heat
and then
cover
&
simmer
for about 45 minutes or until
chops
are tender.
3.
Cook
uncovered on high
heat
until
masala
is thickened.
Add
the
jeera
,
chilly powder
, and the
garam masala
.
Remove
from fire.
4.
Soak
the
ginger
matchsticks in the
lemon juice
.
5. Arrange the
chops
in a flat
serving
dish and garnish with the soaked
ginger
matchsticks.
6.
Serve
hot with chapatis.
