Eggs Baked In Tomato Cups

Ingredients

Eggs
- 4

Tomatoes
- 4
•
Butter
- 1 teaspoon
•
Cheese (grated)
- ΒΌ cup
Method
1.
Cut
a
slice
from the top of a
tomato
.
2. Scoop out pulp.
3. Rub
salt
inside.
4. Put the
tomato
upside down for hour.
5. Gently
break
an
egg
and
pour
it into the
tomato
cup, holding back as much of the white as you can and letting the whole yolk go into the cup.
6. Season with a little
salt
and
pepper
.
7. Spoon a dot of
butter
gently over the
eggs
in the
tomatoes
.
8. Sprinkle with
cheese
.
9.
Bake
for 10 minutes on moderate
heat
or till the
egg
gets cooked.
10. Do not over
bake
.
11. Check the
egg
in the
tomato
with a knife to see if it is done.
12.
Serve
on a bed of cabbage or lettuce
leaves
with toasted bread and french fries.
