Egg Tikkis

Ingredients

Eggs
- 10
•
Potato
- ¾ kg
•
Breads
- 10
•
Onions
- 4
•
Coriander leaves
- 2 tablespoons
•
Mint leaves
- 1 tablespoon
(optional)
•
Salt
- as required
•
Chilly powder
- 1 teaspoon
•
Green chilly paste
- 1 teaspoon
•
Garam masala powder
- 1 teaspoon
•
Dhania powder
- 2 teaspoons
•
Oil (for deep frying)
- as required
Method
1.
Boil
eggs
,
remove
shells and
keep
aside.
2.
Slice
vertically into two pieces.
3.
Boil
potatoes
,
peel
and
mash
.
4.
Soak
bread
slice
one by one in
water
, squeeze and
add
it to mashed
potatoes
with finely
cut
onions
,
coriander
,
mint leaves
and other
masala
powders.
5.
Mix
like a thick dough. Divide the dough into 20 equal portions.
6. Take one portion,
make
like a ball,
make
a dent inside,
keep
an
egg
piece inside.
7. Shape like cutlets, and
cover
properly.
8. Deep
fry
in hot
oil
.
9.
Serve
with ketchup or
mint
chutney.
10. Channa
masala
also goes very well with these tikkis.
