Double Beans Pulao

Ingredients

• • Basmati rice - 1 cup
• • Coconut extract - 2 cups
• • Peas (fresh) - ¼ cup
• • Double bean seeds (fresh) - ¼ cup
• • Onions - 2
• • Salt - as required
• • Garam masala powder - ¼ teaspoon
• • Oil/Ghee - 3 tablespoons
• • Cardamoms - 2
• • Bay leaf - 1
• • Cinnamon - 1 inch piece
• • Cloves - 2
• • Kasoori methis - 2 teaspoons

Ingredients For Grinding Together

• • Green chillies - 7
• • Garlic - 4 flakes
• • Ginger - ½ inch piece
• • Onion - 1

Method

• 1. Wash and soak rice for 10 minutes.
• 2. Heat ½ Teaspoon of ghee and fry for few minutes.
• 3. Cut onion lengthwise.
• 4. Heat a pressure pan with ghee and fry garam masala spices and then onions.
• 5. Add ground paste, shelled peas and beans.
• 6. Fry in medium flame till ghee is separated.
• 7. Add coconut extract and rice.
• 8. Mix well and reduce flame.
• 9. Pressure cook for 10 minutes.
• 10. Sprinkle garam masala powder with a Teaspoon of ghee to rice.
• 11. Mix gently and serve hot with tomato raita.
