Ingredients

Thuar dal (cooked)
- 2 tablespoons
•
Tamarind
- lemon size
•
Water
- 5 cups
•
Tomato
- 1
•
Dal rasam powder
- ½ teaspoon
•
Cumin powder (coarsely powdered)
- ½ teaspoon
•
Pepper powder (coarsely powdered)
- ½ teaspoon
•
Garlic
- 3 flakes
•
Salt
- as required
•
Jaggery
- as required
•
Curry leaves
- 1 sprig
•
Coriander leaves
- as required
Ingredients For Seasoning
•
Oil/Ghee
- 1 teaspoon
•
Mustard seeds
- ¼ teaspoon
•
Asafoetidas
- a pinch
Method
1.
Soak
tamarind
in
water
for ½ an hour and extract.
2. Dilute it with
water
.
3.
Add
cooked
thuar dal
, crushed
garlic
, other powders and bring to
boil
.
4.
Add
chopped
tomato
and
boil
for 1 or 2 minutes
5.
Add
hot
seasonings
,
curry leaves
,
coriander leaves
and close with lid.
Serve
hot.
