Custard Pudding

Ingredients

Milk
- 6 cups
•
Bread
- 2 slices
•
Kismis
- as required
(optional)
•
Vanilla essence
- ½ teaspoon
•
Caramelized sugar
- 2 tablespoons
•
Eggs
- 7
•
Sugar
- 1 cup
•
Cardamom powder/Essences
- a little
Method
1.
Remove
the crusts from
bread
,
cut
into big pieces and
soak
in little
milk
.
2. Beat
eggs
.
Heat
milk
and
reduce
it to 5 cups.
3.
Add
beaten
eggs
and
bread
,
keep
stirring
till thick.
4.
Add
sugar
just before
removing
from fire.
5.
Mix
well till it is dissolved,
add
essence
,
cardamom
and
kismis
.
6.
Pour
caramelized sugar
in a pudding mould.
7.
Pour
custard on top and
cook
in a cooker under pressure for 10 minutes.
8. Or
Bake
this in an oven by
keeping
the mould in another container which contains
water
.
9. When cool, turn the mould upside down, so that the caramel comes on top and
serve
chilled.
