Cumin Rice

Ingredients

Rice
- 1 cup
•
Garlic
- 10 flakes
•
Red chillies (dry)
- 5
•
Ghee
- 2 tablespoons
•
Cumin seeds
- 1 ½ teaspoons
•
Black pepper
- ¾ teaspoon
•
Salt
- as required
Method
1.
Cook
rice
and allow it to cool completely.
2. Separate the grains and
mix
half a Teaspoon of
ghee
to that.
3.
Peel
garlic
and
slice
into thin round pieces.
4. Pound
pepper
and
cumin seeds
coarsely.
5.
Heat
ghee
,
add
garlic
pieces and
fry
till light brown.
6.
Add
preserved
chillies
and
fry
till it becomes black (can be roasted separately)
Add
pepper
-
cumin
powder
and
fry
in
ghee
for another two minutes.
7.
Pour
over
rice
add
salt
mix
well and
serve
.
