Corn Pulao - 1

Ingredients
•
Grained rice (long)
- 1 cup
•
Coconut extract
- 2 cups
•
Corn cobs (tender)
- 3
•
Oil
- 2 tablespoons
•
Salt
- as required
•
Bay leaf
- 1
•
Cinnamon stick
- 1
•
Cloves
- few
•
Ghee
- as required
•
Cashew nuts (for garnishing)
- as required
Ingredients For Grinding Together
•
Red chillies
- 4
•
Green chillies
- 5
•
Garam masala powder
- ¼ teaspoon
•
Mint leaves
- ½ bunch
•
Coriander leaves
- 1 bunch
•
Garlic
- 5 flakes
•
Ginger
- ½ inch piece
•
Coconut (grated)
- 2 tablespoons
Method
1.
Wash
and
soak
rice
for 10 minutes.
2.
Drain
water
completely and
fry
the
rice
with ½ Teaspoon of
ghee
for one or two minutes.
3. Pressure
cook
corn cobs
in salted
water
for 10 to 15 minutes.
4. When it cools down
remove
the
seeds
alone and
keep
aside.
5.
Heat
oil
in pressure pan or cooker,
add
bay leaf
,
cinnamon
and
cloves
.
6. When it is fried
add
ground paste
and
fry
till good smell comes.
7. Gently
mix
cooked
corn
and
coconut extract
.
8. When it starts
boiling
add
salt
and
rice
.
9.
Mix
well and close the lid.
10.
Reduce
flame and
keep
the weight.
Cook
for 10 minutes.
11.
Serve
hot garnished with fried
cashew nuts
.
