Corn Flakes Chivda

Ingredients

Corn flakes
- 3 cups
•
Peanuts
- ½ cup
•
Cashew nuts
- ½ cup
•
Split mung beans
- ½ cup
•
Raisins
- ½ cup
•
Oil
- 1 tablespoon
•
Curry leaves
- 2 sprigs
•
Red chilly powder
- ½ teaspoon
•
Turmeric powder
- ¼ teaspoon
•
Sugar (powdered)
- ½ tablespoon
•
Salt
- 1 teaspoon
Method
1.
Heat
sufficient
oil
in a heavy skillet for deep
frying
.
2. Deep
fry
corn flakes
.
Stir
with a spoon until they expand and become golden & crisp.
Keep
aside.
3. Deep
fry
peanuts
until crispy.
Keep
aside.
4. Deep
fry
cashew nut
until golden brown.
Keep
aside.
5. Deep
fry
split mung beans
until golden brown.
Keep
aside.
6. Deep
fry
raisins
until they become pulp & swell.
Keep
aside.
7. In a
frying
pan,
heat
1 tablespoon
oil
.
Add
curry leaves
and
stir
well.
8.
Add
red chilly powder
, powdered
sugar
,
turmeric powder
and
salt
.
Stir
for 2-3 minutes.
9.
Add
all the deep fried
ingredients
and
mix
well.
10.
Remove
from
heat
and allow it cool.
Store
in an airtight container or jar.
11.
Serve
with tea.
