Coriander Pulao

Ingredients

Basmati rice
- 1 cup
•
Cinnamon
- 1 inch piece
•
Cloves
- 3
•
Cardamoms

•
Onions
- 2
•
Tomatoes
- 2
•
Potatoes
- 3
•
Peas
- ¼ cup
•
Oil
- 2 ½ tablespoons
•
Salt
- as required
Ingredients For Grinding Together

Coriander leaves
- 1 bunch
•
Ginger
- ½ inch piece
•
Garlic
- 4 flakes
•
Green chillies
- 6
•
Cumin seeds
- ½ teaspoon
•
Onions (small)
- 8
•
Coconut (grated, fresh)
- 1 ½ tablespoons
Method
1.
Cut
onions
and
tomatoes
into 1 inch long pieces.
2.
Peel
and
dice
potatoes
.
3.
Cook
peas
.
4.
Wash
and
soak
rice
for 5 to 10 minutes.
5.
Heat
oil
in pressure cooker or pan and
fry
garam
masala
spices
.
6.
Add
onions
,
fry
for few minutes.
7. Continue
frying
with chopped
tomatoes
till it becomes soft.
8.
Add
potatoes
and
fry
for few minutes.
9.
Mix
ground
masala
gently and
fry
in a medium flame till good smell comes.
10. When moisture is absorbed
add
soaked
rice
and
fry
for few more minutes.
11.
Add
enough
salt
and two cups of
boiling
water
with
peas
.
12.
Mix
and close the lid.
13.
Keep
weight and pressure
cook
for 10 minutes in low flame.
