Coconut Sambar

Ingredients

• • Onions (big) - 2
• • Tomatoes - 3
• • Green chillies - 6
• • Salt - as required
• • Turmeric powder - ½ teaspoon
• • Mustard seeds - ½ teaspoon
• • Fenugreek - ½ teaspoon
• • Curry leaves - 1 sprig

Ingredients For Grinding Together

• • Coconut (grated, fresh) - 3 tablespoons
• • Cinnamon - 1 inch piece
• • Poppy seeds - 2 teaspoons
• • Grams (roasted) - 1 tablespoon

Method

• 1. Chop onions, green chillies and tomatoes lengthwise.
• 2. Heat little oil, season with mustard seeds, curry leaves and fenugreek.
• 3. Add chillies, onions and after sometime tomatoes.
• 4. Fry well till raw flavour goes.
• 5. Pour water with salt and turmeric powder.
• 6. Add ground paste just before removing from fire.
