Coconut Burfi

Ingredients
•
Coconut (grated)
- 1 cup
•
Sugar
- 1 cup
•
Cardamom powder
- ½ teaspoon
•
Cashew nuts
- 1 tablespoon
•
Ghee
- 1 teaspoon
Method
1.
Fry
cashew nut
in
ghee
until golden brow.
Keep
aside.
2. In a pan,
add
sugar
with a little bit of
water
.
3. Constantly
stir
in medium head until the
sugar
melts and forms a thick liquid.
4. Continue
stirring
and when bubbles starts forming, check the dissolved
sugar
for "one-string consistency".
5.
Add
coconut
,
add
cardamom powder
.
Mix
well.
6.
Add
cashew nuts
.
Mix
again.
7.
Pour
the
mixture
immediately into a greased tray.
8. Let it cool for a short while, then while the
mixture
is still warm,
cut
into pieces.
