Chilly Cheese Toastie with Tomato Soup Shot

Ingredients For Making Tomato Soup
•
Oil
- 1 tablespoon
•
Onions (chopped)
- 1 cup
•
Garlic
- 3 cloves
•
Carrots (chopped)
- 1 cup
•
Tomatoes (chopped)
- 1 cup
•
Cream
- 2 tablespoons
•
Sugar
- 2 teaspoons
•
Salt
- as required
•
Mixed italian herbs
- 1 teaspoon
•
Mint leaves (for garnishing)
- a few
Ingredients For Making Chilly Cheese Toastie
•
Bread slice
- as required
•
Butter
- 1 tablespoon
•
Cheddar cheese (grated)
- 1 cup
•
Red pepper (chopped)
- 2 teaspoons
•
Green chillies (chopped)
- 1 teaspoon
Method To Make Tomato Soup
1.
Heat
oil
in a pan.
Add
chopped
onion
and
garlic
cloves.
2. Saute till
onions
are translucent.
3.
Add
chopped
carrot
and
tomatoes
.
4.
Cook
until
tomatoes
and
carrots
are soft.
5.
Blend
the cooked
mixture
into a puree.
6.
Heat
pan and
pour
the pureed
mixture
.
Cook
for a few minutes.
7.
Add
cream
,
sugar
and then
salt
and
mix
well
8.
Add
mixed italian herbs
and black
pepper
powder
.
Method To Make Chilly Cheese Toastie
1.
Remove
crust from two slices of bread (optional).
2.
Butter
one side of each of the slices of bread.
3.
Heat
frying
pan, and place the buttered side of the bread on the pan.
4.
Add
cheese
,
red pepper
and
green chillies
to the top of each bread
slice
.
5. When the
cheese
starts
melting
, place the bread pieces together to form a sandwich.
6. Toast until both sides of the toastie is crisp and the
cheese
has melted.
7.
Cut
the bread into 4 triangle by
cutting
diagonally twice.
8.
Pour
tomato
soup into 4 shot glasses.
9. Place the
chilly
cheese
toastie triangles on top of the shot glasses with one end dipped in the
tomato
soup.
10.
Serve
and enjoy!
