Chilly Chana

Chanas/Chickpeas (soaked overnight)
- ½ cup
•
Water
- as required
•
Salt
- as required
•
Pepper
- ¼ teaspoon

Corn flour
- 4 teaspoons
•
Oil (for frying)
- as required
Ingredients For Sauce
•
Oil
- 2 teaspoons
•
Garlic (finely chopped)
- 1 teaspoon
•
Ginger (finely chopped)
- 1 teaspoon
•
Onions
- 1 cup
•
Vinegar
- 2 teaspoons
•
Soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons
•
Chilly sauce
- 2 teaspoons
•
Tomato ketchup
- 4 teaspoons
•
Pepper
- ½ teaspoon
•
Green chillies (slit)
- 2
•
Spring onions
- 1 tablespoon
Method
1. Pressure
cook
soaked
chana
with
salt
.
Keep
aside.
2. In a bowl -
add
cooked
chana
,
salt
and
pepper
.
Mix
well.
3.
Add
corn flour
and
toss
until the
chana
is coated.
4.
Deep-fry
the
chana
in
oil
until slightly brown.
Keep
aside.
5.
Add
oil
to a pan.
Add
chopped
garlic
,
ginger
and
onion
. Saute for 2 minutes.
6.
Add
vinegar
,
soy sauce
,
chilly sauce
and
tomato ketchup
.
Mix
well.
7.
Add
pepper
,
green chilly
and
spring onions
.
Mix
well.
8.
Add
fried
chana
.
Mix
well until
chana
is coated.
