Chicken Sizzler

Ingredients

Chicken fillets

Ingredients For Marination
•
Vinegar
- 1 ½ tablespoons
•
Tomato ketchup
- 3 tablespoons
•
Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon
•
Mustard paste
- 1 teaspoon
•
Salt
- ½ teaspoon
•
Pepper
- ½ teaspoon
•
Oil
- 1 tablespoon
Ingredients For Sauce
•
Garlic (crushed)
- 1 teaspoon
•
Maida
- 1 ½ tablespoons
•
Tomato puree
- 3 tablespoons
•
Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon
•
Chilly paste
- ½ teaspoon
•
Chicken cube
- 1
(optional)
•
Water
- 1 ½ cups
•
Oil
- 2 tablespoons
Method
1.
Marinate
the
chicken
pieces with all the
ingredients
given under the
marinade
for 1-2 hours.
2.
Heat
1 Tablespoon
oil
in a pressure cooker.
3.
Add
the marinated
chicken
pieces and
stir
fry
on high flame for 1 minute or till the
chicken
is dry.
4.
Add
¾ cup
water
and pressure
cook
to give 2 whistles.
5. Immediately
remove
from fire to avoid the
chicken
getting
over cooked.
6. After the pressure drops, check the
chicken
for tenderness.
7. Return the cooker to
heat
.
Stir
for ½ minute.
8.
Remove
the
chicken
pieces leaving behind the liquid.
Remove
from fire.
9. To the liquid in the cooker,
add
½ cup
water
,
tomato puree
,
worcestershire sauce
,
chicken cube
and
chilly paste
.
10.
Heat
2 Tablespoon
oil
in nonstick pan.
Add
garlic
.
11.
Stir
for ½ minute or till slightly brown.
Add
maida
.
12.
Stir
on low flame for ½ minute.
13.
Add
the retained liquid to which
sauces
are added, and
cook
stirring
continuously till it turns a little thick.
Remove
from fire.
14.
Remove
the iron sizzler plate from the wooden base.
15. Put 2-3 Tablespoon
water
in the wooden base.
16.
Heat
the iron plate by
keeping
it directly on the flame.
17. Shut off the flame only when the plate gets really hot.
18. Place 2-3 cabbage
leaves
on the sizzler plate & arrange
chicken fillet
on it.
19.
Pour
the hot
sauce
over it. Arrange boiled
vegetables
& French fries on it.
20. Dot the iron plate with butter.
21. With the help of a firm pair of tongs (sansi), place on the hot iron plate on the wooden tray which has a little
water
in it.
22.
Serve
sizzling hot.
