Ingredients
•
Jackfruits (ripe)
- 1 cup
•
Coconut
- ½
•
Jaggery (grated)
- ¾ cup
•
Ghee
- 1 ½ teaspoons
•
Cashew nuts
- 1 tablespoon
•
Cardamom powder
- ¼ teaspoon
Method
1.
Grate
coconut
,
grind
with little
water
and take two extracts.
Mix
both extracts together.
2.
Remove
inner
seeds
from
jackfruit
and
chop
into very small pieces.
3.
Heat
one cup
water
in a vessel. When it starts
boiling
,
add
jackfruit
pieces and
cook
till it becomes soft.
4.
Add
jaggery
and
coconut
extract.
5.
Mix
in reduced flame till
jaggery
melts completely.
6.
Fry
cashew nut
in
ghee
.
Add
cardamom powder
to hot
ghee
and
mix
with payasam.
7. When good smell comes from payasam,
remove
from fire.
