Chakka Payasam

Ingredients
•
Jackfruit pulp (ripe, deseeded)
- 1 cup
•
Jaggery
- ½ cup
•
Coconut milk (thick)
- ½ cup
•
Cardamom powder
- ¼ teaspoon
Ingredients For Garnishing
•
Ghee
- 1 teaspoon
•
Coconut pieces (cut into very small bits)
- 1 tablespoon
•
Cashew nut
- 10 pieces
•
Raisins
- 1 tablespoon
Method
1.
Wash
the jackfruit pieces,
remove
the
seeds
and brown colored skin.
2. Then
grind
the it to a
paste
.
3.
Add
that
jackfruit pulp
in a pan and
cook
.
4. When the jackfruit is cooked,
add
coconut milk
to it and
stir
.
5. Once boiled,
mix
powdered
jaggery
and
stir
the payasam well.
6.
Mix
well and turn off the flame.
Add
cardamom powder
.
7. Garnish the payasam with fried
cashew nuts
, fried
coconut pieces
and
raisin
and
serve
.
