Cauliflower Stuffed Puris

Ingredients For The Dough
•
Wheat flour
- 2 cups
•
Turmeric powder
- ½ teaspoon
•
Red chilly powder
- ½ teaspoon
•
Salt
- 1 teaspoon
•
Cumin powder (roasted & powdered)
- ¾ teaspoon
•
Ghee
- 1 teaspoon
•
Baking powder
- ½ teaspoon
Ingredients For Stuffing
•
Cauliflowers (grated)
- 2 cups
•
Coconut (fresh, grated)
- 2 tablespoons
•
Onions (grated)
- ¼ cup
•
Coriander leaves (finely chopped)
- 2 tablespoons
•
Green chillies (minced)
- 2
•
Red chilly powder
- ¼ teaspoon
•
Lemon
- 1
(optional)
•
Garam masala powder
- ¼ teaspoon
•
Salt
- ½ teaspoon
•
Oil (for deep frying)
- as required
Method
1. Sieve
wheat flour
with
salt
,
turmeric
,
baking
powder
and
red chilly powder
.
2.
Add
ground
cumin
,
ghee
and
mix
well.
3.
Pour
enough
water
and knead to smooth dough.
4.
Heat
little
oil
and
fry
onions
till brown.
5.
Add
minced
chillies
,
chilly
powder
salt
and
cauliflower
.
6.
Fry
for a while and sprinkle little
water
.
7.
Keep
closed and
cook
in a medium flame.
8. When moisture is absorbed
add
grated
coconut
,
salt
,
coriander leaves
,
masala
powder
and
lemon
juice.
9.
Make
small sized balls from the dough.
10.
Keep
little stuffing inside and close well.
11.
Roll
into puris and deep
fry
in hot
oil
.
12.
Serve
with chutney or
vegetable
curry.
