Cabbage Pachadi

Ingredients
•
Cabbages (grated, fresh)
- 1 ½ cups
•
Red chillies
- 7
•
Mustard seeds
- ¼ teaspoon
•
Asafoetidas
- a pinch
•
Tamarinds (soaked in water)
- a little
•
Fenugreek seeds
- ½ teaspoon
•
Salt
- as required
•
Oil (for seasoning and frying)
- as required
Method
1.
Heat
little
oil
and
fry
red chillies
,
mustard
till golden.
2.
Fry
cabbage
separately in little
oil
till raw flavour is lost.
3.
Grind
everything to
coarse paste
with
tamarind
and
salt
.
4. Sprinkle little
water
while
grinding
if necessary.
5.
Fry
mustard seeds
,
fenugreek seed
in
oil
,
add
asafoetida
in that and
mix
with pachadi.
