Cabbage And Brussels Sprouts In Spicy Sauce

Ingredients

• • Spring onions - 1 bunch
• • Brussels sprout - 100 grams
• • Capsicums - 2
• • Chinese cabbage - ½
• • Ajinomoto - ½ teaspoon
• • White pepper powder - ½ teaspoon
• • Salt - as required
• • Sugar - 1 tablespoon
• • Oil (for frying) - as required
• • Corn flour - 2 tablespoons
• • Soya sauce - 1 tablespoon
• • Worcestershire sauce - 2 teaspoons
• • 8 to 8 sauce - 2 teaspoons

Ingredients For Grinding To A Paste

• • Garlic - 3 flakes
• • Red chillies - 3
• • Ginger - ½ inch piece

Method

• 1. Cut spring onion into length-wise pieces and onion stem into 1 inch long pieces.
• 2. Dice capsicum into 1 inch cubes.
• 3. Shred cabbage into thin long pieces.
• 4. Mix corn flour with all the sauces and 1 ½ cups water.
• 5. Heat a little oil and fry diced onion, whole brussels sprouts with Ajinomoto for two minutes. Mix ground paste and fry for a minute.
• 6. Add prepared sauce mixture, salt, sugar, pepper and cook stirring constantly till sauce gets a shine. Pour more water if necessary.
• 7. Add shredded cabbage and onion stem, switch off the stove immediately. Close with lid and serve after five minutes.
