Bhatura

Ingredients

• • Maida - 2 cups
• • Curd (fresh, thick) - ½ cup
• • Milk - ¼ cup
• • Oil (for the dough) - 1 ½ teaspoons
• • Cooking soda - 3 pinches
• • Salt - ¾ teaspoon

Method

• 1. Blend salt, soda and oil to the flour in - mixing bowl.
• 2. Pour curds, milk and knead well. (If necessary add more milk while kneading).
• 3. Keep closed for 2 to 3 hours.
• 4. Roll out as mentioned in previous recipes.
• 5. Deep fry in hot oil.

Note

• • Knead the bhatura dough well for several times.
• • Do not use chapati press for making bhaturas.
• • Roll out evenly and little thicker than normal puris.
• • As we are making this at home make normal puri sized bhaturas,so that oil consumption will be less.
