Batter Fried Chilly Chicken

Ingredients
•
Chicken (cut into small pieces)
- 800 grams
•
Oil (for frying)
- as required
Ingredients For Egg Batter
•
Eggs
- 2
•
Cornflours
- 2 tablespoons
•
Maida
- 2 tablespoons
•
Pepper powder
- ½ teaspoon
•
Ajinomoto
- ½ teaspoon
(optional)
•
Salt
- ½ teaspoon
•
Baking powder
- a pinch
Ingredients For Sauce
•
Garlic (crushed & chopped)
- 3 tablespoons
•
Green chillies finely choppeds
- 5
•
Soya sauce
- 3 tablespoons
•
Red chilly paste
- 1 tablespoon
•
Tomato ketchup
- 2 tablespoons
•
Salt
- ¼ teaspoon
•
Pepper
- ¼ teaspoon
•
Ajinomoto
- ½ teaspoon
(optional)
•
Chicken stock
- ¼ cup
•
Oil
- 2 tablespoons
Method
1.
Add
1 ½ cups
water
to the
chicken
pieces and
boil
for 2-3 minutes in a covered vessel till tender.
Strain
and dry the pieces. Reserve the
stock
.
2.
Mix
all the
ingredients
of the
egg
batter and
dip
the
chicken
pieces in it.
3.
Heat
oil
and
deepfry
the pieces till golden brown.
Keep
aside.
4.
Heat
2 Tablespoon
oil
in a wok.
Add
garlic
and green
chillies
.
Stir
fry
.
5.
Reduce
flame .
Add
the
soya sauce
,
tomato ketchup
,
chilly
paste
,
salt
,
pepper
,
ajinomoto
and ½ cup
chicken stock
.
6.
Add
the fried
chicken
pieces &
stir
fry
on high flame till the
sauces
coal the
chicken
pieces.
Serve
hot, garnished with
chopped
spring onions.
