Basmati rice
- 1 cup

Corn cobs
- 2
•
Diluted tomato juice
- 2 cups

Onions

Garlic
- 5 flakes
•
Bay leaf
- 1

Cinnamon
- 1 inch piece
•
Cloves
- 3
•
Cardamoms
- 2
•
Salt
- as required
•
Oil
- 2 tablespoons
Ingredients For Grinding Together
•
Coriander leaves
- 1 bunch
•
Garlic
- 4 flakes
•
Cashew nuts
- 10
•
Green chillies
- 4
•
Red chilly powder
- ½ teaspoon
•
Ginger
- ¼ inch piece
•
Cinnamon
- 1 inch piece
•
Cardamoms
- 3
Method
1.
Wash
and
soak
rice
for 10 minutes.
2. Pressure
cook
corn cobs
and separate the
seeds
.
3.
Peel
garlic
,
cut
onions
lengthwise.
4.
Heat
oil
in pressure cooker,
add
spices
,
garlic
, and then
onions
.
5.
Fry
for few minutes and then
add
ground
masala
paste
.
6. When
oil
separates from that,
add
soaked
rice
and
fry
for another two minutes.
7. '
Heat
'
tomato
juice
separately and
add
to this with enough
salt
and cooked
corn
.
8.
Mix
well and close the lid.
9. Pressure
cook
for 7 to 10 minutes in reduced flame.
10.
Serve
hot with mixed
vegetable
raita.
